Pretty actors (Mike Faist looking much better here than he did in West Side Story) and some good acting can't save this muddled mess with a trite climactic tennis match & an ending that makes no sense. Zendaya /Tashi is a manipulative and selfish character who plays two guys off of each other and cheats on both of them with each other & is apparently unhappy even though she has coached her husband to be a Grand Slam winning champion. The jumping back & forth in time is ok but annoying. The music beats you over the head relentlessly & unpleasantly, there is no subtlety in the direction, especially in the climactic tennis match where every thing is telegraphed incredibly LOUDLY you can't miss the supposed emotion the characters are supposed to feel. Feels & seems like a film from an indie film festival with a 3rd time director. Good for Gen Z maybe. Water of time for others

What an enormous pleasure to see these two Old pros acting these parts and being at the top of their game. Not only that but other actors who are as comfortable as an old shoe like George Siegel and James brolin and Scott Bakula round out a super strong cast. Marcia Gay Harden and Chris Noth as her husband are fairly strong but overact their parts. Just keep your eyes on Christopher Plummer and Shirley MacLaine and enjoy every moment. I loved this movie.
