This book jumps right into lust and love when there is nothing these characters know about eachother. For someone being shipped off to a land full of fae she believes to be evil, she very quickly falls for a fae male and even enjoys when he stays speaking extremely dirty to her. To me, if someone started doing that I would be CREEPED out. No matter how hot I found someone to be. I'm sure they end up as mates and that will be the explanation as to why she was so into it, but even that has its limits. There's no world building and detail into the characters lives so you really don't connect with them, especially wanting them together. It's been really uncomfortable to read. This book was clearly written only for smut and the rest was picked off from other amazing series. It feels like this author read all the Sarah j Maas books, as well as from blood and ash and jumbled it into this extremely short book. Really disappointed 😢
