I see why the reviews is pretty much split down the middle. This was the first movie I almost walked out of. This movie strayed so far from what we know as the awesome transformer movies. With all the rest of the movies now a days, felt like they really REALLY tried hard to push a member of minority status as all the characters in this movie! Pretty much the only Caucasian person? She was dumb, rude, self centered. I don’t even recognize this Optimus, dialogue was terrible throughout for him, he just a few years back was destroying every enemy on cybertron. mirage was great. But the two characters were cringe and the dynamic was off. The part where he rushes to her and grabs her face to ask if she’s alright was so cringe I wanted to look away. This felt like a short story transformers movie that should’ve went straight to app release. Only cool part was unicron and Optimus primal. OH and the mirage suit? So dumb.
