I saw the stage play 3 times. LOVED it so much. I was glad to to find the movie streaming so I could see it. NOW I did not expect to see the stage production, but did expect to hear the music I loved. I'm a cat person, my husband and I had 6 -- so I was very please with how they made the cats and how the cats moved and interacted. I loved the added dialog. I was very pleased with the work done despite so many who didn't like it. I wonder if they spent much time around cats and getting to understand them. Yes they can be understood. I suspect many didn't see the stage play either. The stage production on Broadway ran 18 years! That can't be considered a bad idea. The movie is a great adaptation of the stage show. Music was awesome.
