The first 2 were way better. I thought the story was rushed, especially the storyline about (spoiler alert) Dakote Fanning's character and the background that links them together.
They should have taken way more time on developing the story and less on the gratuitous violence. The first two movies were very violent and of course we expect that from this move as well but I think they went way overboard on the gore. It was like a horror movie.
Finally, it seemed WAY too easy for Denzel's character to kill everyone this time around. There was no formidable opponent for him to face, he just slayed the entire Italian Mafia with no challenge to his skills whatsoever. I can't believe they didn't have some worthy opponent like in both of the first two films, it makes no sense.
I still enjoyed it because I love these movies but I think I'm being a bit generous by giving it 3 stars tbh. I was pretty disappointed.
