This movie was good entertainment, if you enjoy a few unexpected twists and turns to the plot. The acting was, actually quite good. The injuries looked like Halloween makeup, but at least we had good acting and a creepy plot. Morale(s) of the story: if you are a team, NEVER split up; Be sure to have your phone, and do not have the least stable person drive the car; if you are invited to the home of a suspected murderer, just don't go there. If you are into horror, this is worth an evening to watch. Load up the popcorn, hide your sharp knives, and enjoy. It's diverting and fun. AND ... no dog deaths.

One star, because it was OK up until they give the Big Reveal right in the middle of the film. The "villian" of the piece, Martin, was suitably emotionless and filled with flat affect. However, the same could be said for all the other characters in the film. A waste of theatrical and dramatic talent. A waste of an evening. I finished the movie feeling stupider than I had felt previously. Good score, contributing to one star. Otherwise, a total let down. Recommend this to someone upon whom you wish to exact revenge.
