This show nails it. I know through personal experience of being married to a sociopathic narcissist for 4 years. The stories I could tell... MAJOR Trigger Warning for survivors of sociopaths: I had to watch it in very small pieces. Don't watch it with the kids. Super adult content. I watched it early in the morning before work so I could process it through the day. (Movie geek time: This 7 show series is a creepy slow burn that turns into an inferno.)

Once upon a time in 1980 there was a horrible coming of age film called "LITTLE DARLINGS" starring Christie McNichol and Tatum O'Neill. It was sexually over the top for back then. Now it's a trivia question. Flash foward 40 years. Our world has changed. Young girls see so much more on their phones than ever. The idea of what is desirable is now governed by slimy boy men living in their mother's basement. The main character's world changed for the worse when she opened the Pandora's Box of technology. This on top of her crumbling world sends her into a spiral of bad choices. Mostly in the form of overtly sexual dancing no 11 year old should even consider. There were creepy bad parts to this film, but there were also sweet innocent parts as well. The dubbing made me feel like I was watching pooly made Anime which is also filled with pedophilia overtones. Plus, the movie was just well...not that good. I found myself rooting for Amy and feeling sorry for her mom when there would be another creepy dance routine. Amy finally does come to her senses and sees she can't serve two masters and realizes that to her own self she must be true. I'm sure in 40 years, this film will be just another trivia question.

I was 12 when Elvis left the building for the final time. I've been a fan most of my life. This movie delivered a solid story for the entire 2½ hours with performances that really draw you into the wild ride that was The King's life. Austin Butler catches the spirit of Elvis perfectly and raises the bar of rock bio pics a notch along with Tom Hanks who brilliantly plays E.P.s sociopathic gaslighting con man manager Colonel Tom Parker. Mixed with actual footage, this cautionary tale of rags to riches to destruction is a movie to put on your must see list this summer.

Everyone in this Movie is rough and tough. They eat nails and spit out bullets. That's what makes this movie so hard to watch. Even the pregnant character is tough. There is no one in this movie worth caring for. They all run around, showing everyone how tough they are all while shooting everything that moves and dropping F bombs. I'm sure if it were made in the late 90s or early 00s it would have probably been a blockbuster. Now? Not so much.

This is what happens when you take two bad movies and smash them together to make a poo sandwich that's hardly watchable. Was this supposed to make us feel better after the "what the heck" final episode of a groundbreaking series? I found myself laughing and talking back to the movie more than a screening of Rocky Horror Picture Show on a Saturday night. The second star was because of the not too bad soundtrack.

I thought Once Upon A Time in Hollywood was OK. It was good, but not blow you away good. There were some solid parts to it, but it wasn't as edgy as some of his other stuff. (After all, it is a comedy.) It would start being a Tarantino film, then it would sputter. Then it would start and then it would sputter. Good fight scene at the end, GREAT cinematography, killer soundtrack, the production design made you feel like you were in 1969 (I was 4 then) all helped. Really think Brad Pitt should win the Oscar for his role. It was not as tense as the rest of his films. Really laid back. It's going to be the kind of film you put on when you don't really know what you want to watch. Solid film, but try not to think of Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs when you watch this.
