I did not enjoy the tv series FRANKLY SPEAKING at first as the male lead seemed like a real push-over who wants the best in life without opening his mouth and fight for it, and the female lead being a total lunatic steamrolling her way through life and stomping over people to get her way ...... then I read the reviews, which mostly said that the series was funny, so I decided to try again. But I could not proceed further than 12 minutes into the second episode due to the blaspheming of my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. By the 12th minute into the second episode His Holy Name was taken in vain TWICE already, so I cannot possible sit through the whole series wondering when His Name will be blasphemed again. I don't know if the actual Korean script blasphemes His Name, or if it is the translator's own doing. In fact I've noticed this trend in a few 2024 Korean tv shows. I started to watch Koran dramas due to it's lack of blasphemy, as I could not stomach Hollywood films anymore. By now I am a devout Korean drama fan, but refuse to watch it when my Lord Jesus Christ's name is taken in vain. I sincerely hope that the writers and translators will reconsider following this hideous trend.
