Very good book that gives me new insights in understanding, discovering and investigating what religion is and how it is defined ? What should be the modern approach to the traditional concept like "religion" ? Why there is so much uproar in understanding and discussing the concept of "religion" openly? Why people are getting afraid of this concept to view and review? Infact, I can say truly this is an excellent book that would bring reformation and revolution one day in order to understand 'religion' from a completely different view point which is progressive, ideal and hence it is the need of the hour to read and follow in order to build a healthy modern human society ahead globally irrespective of any discriminatory ideas...may it be religious or racial or castiest.... I am highly obliged to Professor Brent Nongbri for writing such a valuable book entitled, "Before Religion: A History of a Modern Concept" that helps me a lot tto complete my Ph.D research successfully. This book justifies the pithy words, "Write something worth reading" ..and Prof. Nongbri's the above mentioned book is WORTH READING.
