This is early in its release, but if you like the movies you'll love this. The elf dialog can be hammy, the action can be over the top, and the front exposition is jarring, but make no mistake, the show is LOTR and more. Music is 10/10 the show so far is fun and beautiful. I had very low expectations for the show but the time of middle earth they are exploring is new, interesting, and refreshing. It is some high fantasy fun that feels very much like a movie production. The acting is some top teir acting despite the dialog of the elves being High Fantasy ham. I can't speak to the readers of the Sillmurillian (sorry if misspelled). I am not deep into the lotr lore so I am not sure if it will satisfy the DEEP fans of the world, but it will certainly satisfy a fan of the books and movies.
