It's a good book. It shows the dark side of religion and patriarchy. Kambili's father like her a lot. But he is punishing her for being sinful. It's shows the pathetic condition of human beings. Being blindly believing religion and following the societal norms and making loved one's life bitter even with a good heart.It made me understand to not follow anything blindly.
