Well, I looked forward to seeing this film as a long term fan of Madeleine Le'Engle. The themes of the book were drawn out, there were some excellent actors in it, but somehow the artificiality of the fantasy was overdrawn. It's a bit of a pity as I love this book. Some of the features of IT were lost. IT was not just evil but also overlaid with the modernist project of mechanization. This feature was sadly compromised and the message regarding globalisation also blurred.
