So so so so SO AWFUL! Writing that was so predictable you could say the lines before the actors. Trite is not a strong enough word. Shallow and superficial are applicable but still not strong enough. Crap comes to mind. The poor actors could only sing one note for the eternity that was this movie because Daniels only gave them one note to sing. Over and over and over. Decades of real-life based horror films to examine and improve upon and this is what’s offered up by an unexplainably renowned writer? It wasn’t even shot in an interesting way. POC get the chance to make something truly great and new here and instead they are slinging garbage. A Tyler Perry low budget attempt. Shame. It’s getting one star because I can’t post with zero
