*SPOILERS* Hated it. One of the things I loved about the other movies was the consistency: there were two rules and if you broke them, there were definitive consequences. But low and behold, there was a secret third rule that no one ever seemed to remember and which was never mentioned until now that allowed him to walk away scot free. Suddenly, the world of rules no longer mattered as everyone was suddenly willing to break all of them and even die so that this one man can get away with having broken the rules. So then why does this world even exist? It was so strong because while yes, you may have one or two people willing to help him break the rules (or at least accommodate him after he did), if everyone he ever interacted with suddenly is willing to break the rules for him and essentially tear down their very system, then this world doesn’t stand a chance and then everyone can just break one of the two rules and challenge a duel and all is forgiven and back to what it was. Trained assassins cannot seem to aim their shots for the one part of the body that will result in a kill. Apparently, John Wick is the only trained assassin who knows how to shoot between or above armor. Others get hit by cars and are killed instantly. John Wick gets hit by cars and walks away. Others fall from heights and are killed immediately. John Wick falls from heights, hits objects which should have broken his back, gets up and walks away. It’s just gotten from believable in first couple of movies to farcical in the last. The infamous stair fall that others talk about was the icing on the cake in regards to farce.
