Totally addictive. We (retired couple) subscribe to Amazon Prime which offers thousands of TV shows/movies and we rank this one among the half dozen very best we've watched. The format is that of a theater production - the hotel is the stage and the cast is small. The plots have all the elements of "human comedy": the varieties of interaction between people of different temperaments, social class, intelligence, prejudice, ethics, empathy, and obsession. There is plenty of subtle comedy, pathos, love, marital high-jinks, relational complications, and caricatured personalities. The script and acting are so well done that a sympathetic viewer gets the illusion of being present in the scene. The only downside for those who don't speak Danish is having to put up with subtitles; but after watching a few episodes that becomes ignorable.

You have to be a fan of Surrealism, as I am, to really appreciate this charming art film. The music is especially good (except for some female vocals IMHO). Some scenes will make you giggle and others can make you tear up. I had to watch it twice to get the full drift.
