If you liked "Young and Hungry", starring Emily Osment too, then you will like this show. General plot is pretty much the same with a few things tweaked to make the show more trendy and fit the younger cast. The cast main characters follow the same trend as well. Emily plays the same role as she did in Young and Hungry, Gregg sulkin replaces Jonathan Sadowski, and Olivia Macklin replaces Jayson Blair as the brother-sister swapped love triangle characters. Michael Rosen even replaces Rex Lee as the token gay Asian character and Cinthya Carmona replaces Aimee Carrero as the latina housemate. While there is no main character replacing Kym Whitley as the token black character, although there is a black man that works at the same place as Emily Osment's characters workplace, albeit he does play a very small recurring role. Overall the chemistry and acting is great between the main characters, however the plot does seem a bit overused, Personally I still like the show, but I can see why it gets some bad reviews. I will still watch it and give it 5 stars because I don't want another terrible ending cliffhanger like Young and Hungry had when it got cancelled. Hopefully writers won't drag the show on too long to where that happens, but based off season 1 it does look like it will be that way.
