First of all this movie is not for mass movie lovers. Chola depicts two major illness of our society. 1) Uninvolved parenting. 2) Bad approach towards rape victims. Movie clearly shows what happens if we don't raise our kids brave and clever enough to represent various situations in life. Kids should have a positive environment at home so they can share their experiences to parents. One another thing is our conservative society always ill-treat women who are abused. Such women aren't able to lead a social life because of this disgusting attitude of society. Another thing I would like to convey here is, many people have criticized Chola for the reason Female character was submissive towards the abuser. I agree it is very disturbing to see the victim obeys the abuser. But it is the harsh reality of our society. It is a psychological condition called Stockholm syndrome, the submissiveness towards the abuser. About Sanal Kumar's direction. Ozhivu divasathe kali was the first movie of him I watched. It was an experiment film that went unnoticed. But it is a gem of a film. Chola is another piece of art from him. I have no words explain his direction nor have the experience either. Nature is a character in his films 💚

Yet another Malayalam movie with same cliches. Movie is a correlation of 3 story parts with no connection at all. The male character is a psychopath kind. This movie romanticises Toxic masculinity and stockholm syndrome.
