The least of these
The movie is a throwback tribute to Graham Staines and his family. We all know of the heart wrenching tragedy that occurred with Staines and his little son's.
And even though you know how their life ended it is this very scene that you wished never happened and would not like to refresh ...it tears ur heart to think of how the the Staines became a victim of this ignominious dastardly act. This incident may have taken place 20 years back but the agony of the father and sons can still be felt like the burning embers of the wagon they were burnt alive in.
Nothing ,not even a doubt of supposed conversion could condone this act ,and ultimately a baseless accusation that ended 3 innocent lives.
However the makers have avoided mentioning political and fundamentalist organisations actually involved with the killing of Staines.
Why?probably this movie would not have made the cut if it were not to create the fictitious journalist angle that takes the blame for causing the stir
Has anything changed today ?No in fact it has gotten worse and taken ugly forms .
Unfounded fear is the root cause of this blatant tactic.and it is very well spelt out in the film .
Considering the timing and current prevailing scenario in India, it is a bold initiative to resurrect the memory of Graham Staines and the message of forgiveness that comes thru.
Watch it because we have become numb
and immune to the real page of India. The happy and glamorous social media cuts v make are not going to save the day.
We need to do what we keep hoping we would do then,if v were around the scenario of the Staines.
