I have enjoyed ALL the Orphan books. But The Last Orphan was a disappointment. Too much psychological type wordy detail. a level of violence/torture that seems excessive - ‘fire ants?’ Seemed to take too long to get to the point. A lot of information that didn’t do it for me. The Lady President was also not what I would wish for. Mind you, who knows what that will turn into in 2024 If there is another book I hope it follows the previous structure.
