I did enjoy it. There was a an extra element of interest for me as an English non French speaking person viewing a French film with subtitles. Someone who is French/French speaking might view it differently. French films / people speaking French are “exotic” and interesting to me. It this had been made by an English film company with English speaking actors I think I would have found it less interesting. The performance from the actors was very enthusiastic and I enjoyed them all. I liked the main character found him vey winning. All the actors did well. As a female the silly things we are judged for/ have to do sometimes just to be acceptable and “not disgusting” rang a bell and make me laugh especially the “monkey comment”. The selfish “love making” scene with with the lady’s facial expressions was laugh out loud funny. The poor cat getting thrown and the poor little lizard getting his tank smashed were cringy and unnecessary (neither were harmed I hope). It wasn't clear if the film was a comedy or a social commentary and that made it weak for me. The film did point out well the different expectations for men and women and the unfairness this brings. The story fell off a cliff at the end and went a bit twilight zone. But worth watching and quite a few decent laughs

Found this show very involving I binged watched it bit. It was very entertaining and I found myselt wanting to know what happened next and next again. It had the good production values of many shows and films nowadays the story had a good mystery/thriller theme with some horror thrown in. I found the two leads unlikable and unattractive and it was a toss up who was the more irritating. I think it was Beck but at least she didn’t kill anyone. Credit to the actors for portraying this so well. Good supporting actors especially the little neighbour solid acting from this guy totally believable and so young. The bookstore clerk added a grounded realistic touch with his down to earth steadily getting on with his job and enjoying it role. I liked the New York location from an English perspective I always think of it as very glamorous and interesting. All the bars/restaurants/ pretty apartments and what not are so fascinating. Overall I didn’t “like”it but I did enjoy watching it 🤷🏼‍♀️. Don’t think I’d watch it again but I will definitely watch the second series.

Too stupid for words and I loved it! I was laughing and giggling the whole film through. Loads and loads of gags (words and visuals) rolled out non stop most of them in bad taste and over the top. What made it all the funnier was the fact that it was set in the old west frontier days but ..... (I don’t want to put spoilers) just watch it you’ll get the joke. Idiotic, daft and clever if you like stuff like this you must watch it you’re in for a treat! I saw it last night and I’m still smiling.

One of those film that strives to be different and fails as it’s different just like all the other different and unique films about. Disappointing tedious and not half as clever as it tries to to be, not really funny not really a thriller. Another poster said a bit pointless this sums the whole thing up plus it’s boring. Maybe a good film for people who like to think they are trendy and different. It wasn’t the actors fault.

The reviews are pretty accurate and make some good honest observations pluses and minuses. I have not read the book so can’t say if it is a good adaptation or not. If you have ever felt ugly and worthless you will probably like this film. I felt sympathetic to all of the characters and felt the actors did well. I liked the little “gang of outcasts”. Not a Dolly fan (not dislike) just don’t know much of her work but no doubt a lovely treat for her fans. Maybe a bit a tiny bit too long? But I did enjoy it. One thing........like cowbells we need more tap dancing hula hooping ladies (or men) I loved that bit 🙂.

I wanted to like the show hoped it would be similar to the Manturian Candidate a cover up type thing. Although there was a cover up/deceit theme the journey to the revel was too long and padded out. Some good acting and characters, the soldiers, Walter, his mother were sympathetic and the dod agent. Sissy S as Heidi’s mother was excellent as usual. Colin’s character was allowed to blab on too much and Julia Roberts character Heidi was irritating. Making ms Roberts look so drab and boring was distracting. Part of the character I know but she unfortunately looked stupid in the wig and with it slipping up and down her forehead she was hard to take seriously The end was not clear did Heidi have a romantic hope for Walter? something else that came over as ridiculous. Had some good bits and the plot idea was good but overall disappointing and boring.

Not overwhelmed it was ok typical bbc type drama lots of money spent on good production. The story idea was fair but the telling of it was weak seemed liked the writers hadn’t got together to discuss how the story would progress and finish or they didn’t know and were making it up as they went along. Tilly was annoying wasn’t the fault of the actor it was the script there were lots of actors I normally enjoy watching but they could only do so much with the material. The locations were beautiful the woodlands, the caves, the mountains covered in cloud absolutely spectacular. Six episodes was too long and too padded out. All of the ingredients were there for it to be an excellent supernatural mystery, good actors locations etc. But in the end it kind of missed the mark.

It’s always worth watching James McAvoy and he performed his socks off here. The part must have been draining. But overall the film was a bit boring there was an awful lot of nothing going on. The rest of the cast 👍🏻 no complaints either just felt the film didn’t get off the ground the way it should have. Felt like it was a good idea but bogged down by trying to be too clever. Too much Hamlet and not enough story.
