Hugely disappointed. Milligan is an outstanding journalist, however her novel doesn’t have the same calibre as her journalist work.
The seriousness of the topic is constantly intercepted with a stream of consciousness, filling the reader in with background information, all while the central character is trussed up in the car after having been brutally sexually assaulted.
A disappointing and frustrating read.
