an enjoyable read. the conclusion was a bit disappointing. Ms. Owens's knowledge of North Carolina is lacking. The frequent references to Asheville are surprising since Asheville is literally all the way across the state from the Outer Banks. Greenville is a much more likely place for Outer Bankers to travel to. Referring to the Greenville motel as being on highway 258 is also an error. US Highway 258 is a major North-South route in Eastern NC, but it does not pass through Greenville.
