I was really let down by this show..it’s not what I expected at all..when Maggie sent him out I was under the impression there was a plan to get him to France and look into the origin of the “disease”..instead it turned into a random washing ashore with a confusing backstory and Daryl seems like a completely different character from the original. There has been no reference to Judith,RJ, or Maggie beyond saying he has family waiting back home. There is so much more to Daryl..his backstory with Beth is one that should be revisited because that was a huge breakthrough that the show made a big deal of and then ultimately ignored. There is almost no connection between this spinoff and the original show and that bothers me so much. I really hope the next season steps up and gives us some true Daryl Dixon and doesn’t alienate his character anymore than it already has.
