Honestly idk where the idea this was better or compares to the first game in any way comes from. This game is alright but without comparing this to it's predecessor (which is a full title and much longer etc), it's already okay at best. The story was extremely cliche and predictable, not a single major event/twist that happened was a surprised to me from the villain, to the side villain, to miles' mom finding out, to even the "I'm Spider-Man" line jn the final battle. Not to mention part of the story seemed dragged by our heroes own emotions. And while I understand that was probably meant to be relatable and feel like it was naturally extending the story...it didn't. It felt like it was really annoying to mpatch the hero continously be beat on because how much of a simp he was being for his friend.
