Perhaps the most overrated album of all-time. I first recall hearing about the Taylor Swift 1989 album sometime around late 2014. When I saw the title "1989" I thought it might have something to do with the new synthwave retro genre which has been slowly growing in popularity. Boy was I ever wrong. The album opens with the song "Welcome to New York" a tune so AWFUL that you'll wish you had a time-machine just to escape the experience of having listened to it. Do yourself a favor, just listen to the bands from the 80s. Van Halen, Prince, Michael Jackson, whatever you like. Stay away from this album. It has nothing to do with the '80s and it is completely awful!
