The movie has an ungodly amount of jumpscares, none of which are earned or accomplish anything. They're just downright annoying, and they take away from the suspense that the movie doesn't even bother to build. The character arcs are very slow, boring, and somewhat unclear. We don't even get a resolution, just a shot of them driving into space (trust me you don't care about spoilers). Most of the scenes are very forgettable, because most of the scenes are just our man Adam Driver walking through the woods looking mildly concerned. If I wanted disappointment I would have visited my mother-in-law. Instead I paid $12.50 for the worst movie of 2023 so far. I'm giving this movie 2 stars because one of the final scenes is actually pretty cool. Not worth the hour and a half of nothing that you have to sit through to get to it. Wait till it's out on a streaming device I guess, otherwise this movie is not worth your time or money. Adam, if you somehow end up reading this, you're better than 65. Why stoop so low?
