Too long, and didn’t deliver on its potential. Rosario Dawson was as lovely as ever, Owen Wilson as goofy and charming as usual, and Danny Devito was, well, Danny Devito. Tiffany Haddish was wonderful, my favorite character in the movie. I can’t decide if LaKeith Stanfield is a bad actor, had a poorly developed character to work with or had poor direction - but the result was a mostly unlikeable person. This movie could have been so much better but it kept losing its focus and while it seemed that the intent was to make a movie that was heartwarming, it just didn’t succeed. Overall, rather disappointing.
