This movie is a shameful act of offense to the Catholic Church. The producer named the movie as he did to attract an audience and nothing else. A story about the peasants of a small village in Italy fighting against corrupt land owners. They show the clergy making part in violence against people. Padre Pio's life is merely a side-story that never comes into contact with these peasants. The scene of nudity and sacrilege on an image of Virgin Mary just made my stomach turn. So offensive. This movie is an attack on our faith, on Jesus Christ, on Virgin Mary and on Padre Pio. Who is the maker of this film ? Abel Ferrara who is also maker of porn, crime and horror movies. Shia, you did a great job and I thank The Lord for your conversion. Too sad you fell in the hands of Mr. Ferrara. I would give this movie a ZERO star if it were an option.
