Tama “TAMA” Herman

The writing is good, but the story—about rich family problems is off putting. I am a middle class jew from nyc. Originally the book drew me in, because of the extraordinary tv shows with which the author is closely affiliated, such as BIG LOVE. While I found the Mormon family and its predicaments in expectantly relatable, I didn’t have any such empathy or even like any of TPP’s characters. I found it overly indulgent and quit half way through. Maybe this would have been better as an onscreen production. I would enjoy seeing how the story would unfold through good acting and directing.
