Rushed, no character development, scenes just jump from one to another and no real accounting for the passage of time, the constant changes to the battle school rules that cause cadets to be frustrated, the need to have ended followed constantly for the threat on his life…it was just a cluster of scenes put together from someone who seems to never have read the book.
Then they introduce Mazer as this tough guy who is his enemy, but then that just flops.
And in book he sacrificed a lot more and was told to conserve ships since he didn’t know they were real people.
It seems this movie about the death of Ender’s innocence was downplayed. Like they didn’t want the movie version to have as bloody of hands as in the book?
