Let's face it; either you like Kevin Smith's movies , or you can't stand them. If you do appreciate his sense of humor--his preposterous admixture of sophisticated wit and crude, sophomoric profanity--then this film won't disappoint. It's like a Kevin Smith retrospective, with a ton of self-depreciating irony, plus a sizable chunk of family-style sentimentality thrown in.
