The movie is terrible! Both Jason Statham and Steve Alten should be embarrassed to have been a part of this. Steve wrote a great book as a sequel to Meg. This movie shares nothing with the book except the Meg. The screenplay is silly. The acting is awful. The movie is supposed to be about the creatures of the Trench and how their escape from the depths affects the oceans of the world. Instead we get a movie about escaping an undersea mining lab and long stretches of the cast out of the water. Zero stars really!
