As someone who had seen absolutely nothing but the trailer before actually watching the movie, it was great. Honestly, I would not say the movie is “scary” in that sense, it’s more uncomfortable than anything. Anytime long legs were on the screen, I fought to keep my eyes on him without feeling overwhelmingly uncomfortable. Many parts were very disturbing and had an eerie vibe. I will say I will not be watching this movie again though. The movie is very demonic and during points it’s almost too much to handle for me; Thus the reason for the 4 stars. Other than the praising of “the man downstairs”, it was a great movie. If it were not so demonic, I would definitely watch it again and recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good psychological horror movie. I will say, the trailer does it absolutely no justice. However, if you want the full experience of seeing the movie for the first time without any real knowledge of it, I would only watch the trailer. Don’t read the description, don’t search up pictures, don’t watch videos about it on TikTok or whatever, just watch the trailer and go in expecting something far less uncomfortable than what the movie actually shows. Lastly, I will say if you do see it, the cinema is definitely the only way. I feel like if the movie were on a phone screen or regular Tv screen, it would not be as disturbing and uncomfortable. Great movie, didn’t like it being demonic, trailer does it no justice, watch it in the cinema.
