Very good film. Nicole at her best. Location, photography, choice of country mansion with sprawling lawns& forest, interior deco, sound effects, ancient albums-- everything competes with others to make it a very good psycho horror..

Well, I saw this movie way back in 1969 or so when I was in my early teens. What struck me was intelligent use of infantry hugely outnumbered by murderous Zulu crowds. It also made me understand how Britishers came to put down the uprising of 1857 called Indian mutiny. Really a very good movie. I think it was in CinemaScope and the magical effect it produced in cinema hall refuses to go
