the people who said the original tin man died on set are wrong Buddy Ebsen was allergic to the face paint and survived. The fact that they used esbestos was not their fault no one had the technology to know it caused cancer. Nor did they know the witch's makeup was flammable. its a kinda messed up plot but great movie for ages 7+
