Not realistic in the least. Akin to pre-911 rather than post 911.

I was with this game at launch. I wasn't too bad then, but for a few years now, it has gotten much worse. I went from a semi-true to sci-fi mirror of Star Trek, to a "pay for whatever you wish" game. You have Star Fleet characters flying around in giant Romulan or Klingon Battleships. The more money you are willing to throw at this game the more out of the genre you get. It has become more about "look at this new shinny thing" I got rather than any sort of role playing. As a fan of Star Trek, I am saddened.
