I agree with a review made on Audible, the author herself isn't neurodivergent, her husband was. The "advice" given in this book is surface level "hacks" that most ND parents are likely already doing (i.e noise cancelling headphones/loop ear plugs). I came to this book looking for advice on HOW to communicate properly with my pre-teen and draw sensible boundaries as a parent who gets overstimulated very easily. Instead, I almost learned how to mask my ND even more. This book very much let me down. If you are looking for those answers, I would recommend a therapist who specializes in neurodivergencies and, maybe, one who can help the entire family.
