This book ignores all the character growth from book three. I really felt like Brandon just dialed it in on this one. This whole book could have been resolved within the first 3rd of the book. When all the stuff you as the reader care about finally happens, you just aren't emotionally invested anymore and it falls flat. I love the first three books in this series. My love of the first three makes me wish I'd never read this one. Finishing this book was a test of stamina for the love of the franchise.
