Put simply that is not how the first witcher was made. Once again they have crapped all over the lore to create thier own thing. Put thier own stamp on it. What ever you want to call it. So many liberties taken. I mean this alone is probably why Henry Cavill quit. They are not only rewritting the history of the world but Ciri and Geralt as well. As if what Andrzej Sapkowski imagined and wrote wasnt good enough to begin with. If your a fan of the source material in any way dont bother. You'll just be disgusted by the disragrd for what you know and love. Which is an honest shame because the actors dont deserve to be tarnished by the choices of the showrunner and writters. I give it 2 stars purely because i feel sorry for the actors. Although they should of read the script and ran a mile especially with all the current back lash around series/adaptations and not being true to source materials. How many more shows have to made and tore to pieces like this before they realise this doesnt work. On another note if you know nothing about the witcher except what netflix has shown you you may enjoy it, my mum did.
