Charlie Eckhaus

A rarity, a crime series with all basically positive, decent, characters (other than the culprits, natch.), hard to limit my appreciation to Rob Morrow, David Crumholtz, Navi Rawat, Peter MacNicol, and Judd Hirsch followers will note associational guest apperances by the likes of Christopher Llloyd and Marilu Henner. You don't need to be a math professor to appreciate the hook, how numbers and algorithms can be applied to crime-solving.

An above average crime/police show that doesn't wallow in the grit. Nelson is cast well, effective in the role. Easy to see the Hill Street Blues tradition in the big boss with supporting ensemble presentation mode.
