Lots of fun. Some weaknesses but characters Patrick Jane and Kimball Cho are amazing. Subtle humor from Cho. Repeat guest characters can also amaze. JJ La Rouche, Brett Styles, and Loralie to name three standouts. Summer is wonderful as well. I'm thinking that they were cast for one show and were so awesome that they had to be written back in as major supporting characters. After a while you may start to guess the outcomes if you are open to learning - the key is building memory castles (OK JK). The key is to understand the direction and writing. Treat the show like you are the Mentalist. Yes it may take you out of the drama but why not? Adds to the fun. My edge is that many of the guest characters (especially women) are also Hallmark Movie mainstays. So at the beginning of the episode you may be able to figure out the killer (why else would they be on the show?) My favorite part of the show however, is not the plots or the characters but it is the endings. Often moving and surprising. Gives me hope.
