Mind blowing if this is intended to be a thriller or even worse to portray the failings of the political, administrative and security apparatus of our society. I can’t believe BBC came up with this. The most infantile, sub-standard script and plot-twists that would make a 5 year old cringe. How can even someone come up with such a huge number of most implausible, meaningless and puerile ideas at all, let alone on a channel which positons itself to deliver intelligent content?!!! ? Maybe the actors can do better but with the script they had they simply looked absurd. The number of idiotic , cheap and syrupy things and scenarios is too high to include in here. Wow!

Great performance, cinematography but no context to the story, entirely unfeasible, ridiculous really. No mother’s love and determination can get a phone signal in the middle of the ocean, cut a container with a pen knife, keep a container afloat in voracious storms and survive hypothermia and a long time under water. The ingenuity of the survival skills is great, but not really credible either. There are more details that lack credibility and there is no story really. A lot of horror at the beginning that seems just for the sake of it, as there is no context for viewers to hold on to. I’d wish the many boats of refugees would have a bit of the protagonist’s luck. They certainly have more context. To me it felt very strange.
