Incredible!! I really liked the single shy away when it was released, but I was worried the album would sound a bit generic and lack the uniqueness that defined Twenty One Pilots over their career. However, I was blown away by the diverse array of songs featured on Scaled and Icy; I love the new exploration of genre and more upbeat songs, as well as some nods to previous eras that add a sense of familiarity to the music. The lyrics are beautifully written, especially in Redecorate which conveys such an important yet hardly talked about concept. The usual level of depth remains despite the evolution to more traditionally pop-sounding songs, and overall I cannot fault this album. Definitely recommend.
