this may be my favorite movie of all time. I expected something completely different when I saw it in the theater when it premiered many years ago.
I think Adrian Brody steals this film.
You would not think he would play that type of part as a punk rocker. He does it so well.
This film is not at all really about the son of Sam. It is loosely based around the killing but I love that it truly captures the 1970s in Brooklyn New York. It makes you feel like you were there. It is different from any spike Lee movie. I cannot believe that critics did not get this movie watch it buy it you won't regret it. I love it so much. I have a huge poster of it in my home like I said it is in my top three favorite movies I've ever seen in my entire life.
If you're looking for nonstop action, this is not the movie for you, but it is so interesting showing so many different peoples way of life in the 70s in New York. It is more like a drama that is gritty, dirty and real. I cannot say enough good things about this film. It definitely did not get the recognition it Deserves.
ps. And it proves why to this day, Adrian Brody is still the youngest actor to ever win an Oscar he is often over looked.
