This Batman to a certain extent plays on the hyper realism of the Nolan trilogy of films but is also its own beast in being a detective noir film. Perhaps accurate to some representation of the comics such the Long Halloween, Year one and even Zero Year. Is Pattinson the definitive Batman? Perhaps so for me, though I figure I'm left conflicted with my favour over Bale's Batman as well. And you know what? It is a good problem to have since we have the portrayals of Batman by some of the most top notched actors (Keaton and Affleck included)
