This dlc was really good to me. While it was repetitive in terms of the enemies faced, the difficulty was heightened each time. I played on the hardest difficulty, so it was actually challenging and fun to beat the enemies. At times, the odds felt extremely stacked against Frey & Cinta, but you really have to play intelligently to a degree and figure out how to win. The storytelling was great, and the visuals were amazing. I just wish it were longer!! Hopefully a Forspoken 2 is in the works, but by the looks of the last scene in the dlc, there’s a good chance there won’t be a Forspoken 2. BUT, what makes me hold out some hope, is when (**SPOILER INCOMING**)
when the Tanta of Rheddah revealed there’s other Tantas outside the borders of Athia. She’s just one of the Tantas of Rheddah, and she said to find the answers she seeks, Frey’s journey has to go beyond Athia’s borders. That Frey must go the Rheddah and find her, to learn more. And gain more power. So that is a HEAVY cliffhanger, and one that’s easy to surmise there could be a Forspoken 2.
AND I REALLY HOPE SO! This game was amazing, I know people complained about the dialogue, but what game doesn’t have bad dialogue? Some of the greatest games ever have corny dialogue. It’s nothing new. And a lot of people just didn’t actually understand how to play this game the way it was designed to be played. They didn’t play with enough creativity and strategy in mind. But I digress.
