The ending knocked two stars off of this review. Considering the implications of what caused the dome to fall in the first place, there was no in-depth reaction to this revelation. The characters kinda just accepted it for what it was and the larger world never found out or reacted to it accordingly. It was like King took "The Ritual of Chud" from IT and stripped it to a very bare and quick part in this novel. The ending deserved to be fleshed out far more, especially considering how invested King makes you in the characters. Great novel hiccupped by a lackluster ending.
