I was so horribly disappointed by this movie. (Which is a shame bc I wanted to love it so much) The script was so far off the actual book that it boggles the mind and actually made the movie completely nonsensical. Minor spoiler if you haven’t read the book: The movie completely glosses over the story of Cole’s sister’s death at the quarry. That incident is such a huge catalyst for how the rest of the story plays out and explains the drive behind the town’s anger. The movie reflects none of that. It all reduces it to B movie drivel. Just super disappointing.
