I have read the book, but it was a while ago and the differeces dod not shout out at me..We found this a gripping series and loved most of the characterisations, an especially the acting of Marie. I have left the rating one star short, as I felt the relentless stereotyping of the nazis overdone, and there were several unrealistic scenes. Werner for example, having suddenly shaken awake from a devastating explosion runs around and climbs stairs as if he is fresh out of the gym. But its a great story and good watching.
