Good movie, but too long. Focused more on after the War than during it. Very PC— never called The enemy “Japs,” “Nips,” or derogatory insults. No one called them “Japanese” at every junction

Flowery language, intriguing premise, ending unsatisfying. Too much to follow? Tibet is the world’s leading technological country? No explanation. Main villain a company called DIANIMA. Never explained what initials meant. Lazy writing. Rising conflict off book. Waste of time, despite thoughtful and realistic depiction of intelligent octopuses. But not enough of them. That’s why someone would want to buy the book
